POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, this role is responsible coordinating with logistics teams, custom agent(s), suppliers, and customers to ensure efficient movement of goods within North America and internationally.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma in Business Administration and/or 3+ years of related experience in customs and import/export; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of import/export customs administration.
  • Industrial manufacturing experience and an understanding of production processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions.
  • Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems and Excel formulations.
  • Strong collaboration, and the ability to partner with multiple departments within the organization.
  • Motivated and able to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • The ability to multitask and balance several tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the importing and exporting administration for Albarrie group of entities.
  • Responsible for completing all custom clearance documentation (commercial invoice, CUSMA, etc.) for shipments being exported within North America and internationally.
  • Coordinate all import and export activities, including customs clearance by communicating with suppliers, customers and customs agents to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all import and export transactions, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Albarrie custom brokers for custom clearance and invoicing.
  • Classify products, technologies, and services under the appropriate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
  • Review and approve invoices from customs agent on a periodic basis.
  • Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to identify and implement process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce costs. 
  • Provides input on how to troubleshoot any problems with the procurement and logistics.
  • Provides input on how to handle compliances challenges.
